NX Series Banknote Exchangers
The NX Series are change machine kiosks that accept banknotes in exchange for banknotes of other denominations. The kiosks are designed for supervised environments where there is sufficient security present such as in casinos and club gaming lounges.
CLIENT CONFIGURATION PROGRAMMES The NX Series can be programmed to suit most banknote exchange applications including single note acceptance or acceptance of multiple banknotes up to a predetermined limit per transaction. The on-screen graphics and animations can be individually customised with logos and colours to reflect the client’s brand and image.
USER FRIENDLY WITH LARGE TOUCH SCREEN The kiosks are just so simple to use with easy-to-follow prompts and colourful graphics to guide users through their transactions.
STRAIGHTFORWARD SUPERVISOR MODE A diagnostic status screen comes complete with component function testing making life easy for the supervisor. Audit data is displayed onscreen via the ‘tree type’ menu, and an event log retains the previous month’s events in its memory. A separate non re-settable hard counter for NOTES IN and NOTES OUT is housed in the lower compartment. Audit Data can be printed on an optional serial printer or a Bluetooth printer if Bluetooth connectivity has been fitted.
SECURE BANKNOTE ACCEPTANCE The MEI Cashflow™ Banknote Reader accepts valid banknotes and stores up to 400 polymer banknotes in its lockable Stacker. In the event of a banknote jam the Note Reader can be removed without having access to the Stacker, which is securely located behind the internal vault door. The Stacker also features a window to show the value area of the last banknote stacked.
RELIABLE HIGH-SPEED DISPENSING The banknote dispensing unit is housed behind an internal security door. The dispensing unit has a feed module, reject tray and either two or four dispensing cassettes. With each cassette holding 1,000 polymer banknotes the overall holding capacity is either 2,000 (NX2000) or 4,000 (NX4000) banknotes.
The dispensing unit does a simple verification of each banknote that is dispensed and although not fool proof the unit will reject any notes that it does not think are legitimate currency; which may include notes that have cello tape, are ripped or in generally poor condition. These notes are placed in the reject tray and the next note in the dispensing cassette is sent to the customer in its place.
Each of the dispensing cassettes has low level detection being monitored by visual colour coded indicators shown on the display screen when in standby mode. This built-in low level interface switch also provides for an optional remote warning signal to be fitted.
